I'm a single mom w/2 beautiful young boys that I adore. I'm grateful to be sober and conscious and on this path–as overwhelming and new and scary as it is at times (when I listen to the ego).  I used to drink to turn off my head but now I'm recovering (or forming the person I was meant to be before taking a serious detour) and therefore I need God or the nameless Source's help. I need to believe there's something beneficent at work in this troubled but love-filled world.  Not to sound glum (!) though, it is a gift to be free and I do feel like I've had 2 lifetimes–the old way of living (until age 35) and now, this way…much, much better. Not always easy but very different. This website is heartening–who knew there were all these other inquisitive, deep people out there!?! Way cool.
